Yoga For Kids Class Coming To Bryan Main Library

The Bryan Main Library Children’s department will be hosting Yoga for Kids on Monday, June 27 at 5:30 pm. This introductory class goes along with the summer reading theme of “On Your Mark, Get Set…Read!” The program will be a basic overview of yoga for children ages 3 to 12. Participants will be taught proper breathing technique and general poses as well as poses for Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and other developmental disabilities. For this class parents will need to provide a yoga mat or towel (to define space for your child,) a folded blanket, water bottle, and comfortable clothes. No past yoga experience required. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

The program will be led by Bonnie Kimpling-Kelly who has 26 years of experience instructing children and adults in exercise, relaxation and yoga. She is a certified Intervention Specialist and has run the PATH Academy for Autism for the last 14 years. She is certified in Yoga, Mindfulness and is a Road Runner’s of America Certified Running Coach.
