Christmas In July Coming To Stryker Branch Library

Celebrate Christmas in July at the Stryker Branch Library! Throughout the week of July 18th, enjoy a little extra holiday cheer at the library to beat the summer heat. There will be daily activities, which will start at 1:00 pm. On Monday, July 18 take part in a Christmas Scavenger Hunt, then decorate and eat a Christmas cookie! Sing carols and enjoy Christmas stories on Tuesday, July 19. Wednesday, July 20 watch a Christmas movie and snack on popcorn. (Movie may be rated PG) On Thursday, July 21 make Christmas Crafts. All contest winners will be announced on Friday, July 22.

The library will also offer several special programs for Christmas in July. On Monday, July 18 adults are invited to a Christmas Coloring Evening. Enjoy a relaxing night of coloring Christmas pictures, eating delicious Christmas cookies, listening to holiday music, and partaking in a time of good cheer! This program will run from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and all supplies will be provided by the library. On Tuesday, July 19 the library will be holding a “Cookies & Canvas Painting Class” for children in grades 2nd through 5th (entering in the fall of 2016). The theme will be “Do You Want to Paint a Snowman.” Cost is $15.00, which covers all supplies. You must register to attend as class size is limited to 10 participants. The class will run from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Christmas cookies will also be served!
