Local Teen Attends Ohio Forestry CampKristina Eitniear of West Unity recently attended Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp. Kristina is the daughter of Matt and Amy Kennedy and Ryan Eitniear.

She is a 10-year member of the Williams County 4-H Program where she is currently serving as the President of the Kidding Around 4-H Goat Club. Kristina enjoys taking goat and woodworking projects through 4-H. She has attended the Ohio State Fair several times to represent Williams County with her woodworking skills. She is active as a 4-H camp counselor, Jr. Fairboard member, 4-H ambassador, and youth representative to the 4-H Advisory Council. Kristina also received the honor of being named a 2015 Williams County Outstanding 4-H Teen.

Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp is held annually at FFA Camp Muskingum. Situated on Leesville Lake in the beautiful rolling hills of Carroll County, campers have the opportunity to learn first-hand about Ohio’s forests and natural resources. Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp began in 1950. Since then, nearly ten thousand high school students from all over Ohio have attended Camp! Many of these students have furthered their interest in forestry and wildlife by obtaining post-secondary education in natural resources. Other campers have also gained a greater understanding and appreciation of Ohio’s forestry heritage.

Kristina’s camp was sponsored in part by the Williams County 4-H Endowment and the Williams County Soil & Water Conservation District. Williams County 4-H is a program of Ohio State University Extension.
