One Killed & Eight Injured In Fulton County Crash

A collision at the intersection of Fulton County Road J and State Route 108 in Dover Township resulted in the death of man. Eight other were injured in the accident.

Brenda Depinet, 37, of Fayette, was southbound on County Road at the intersection of 108 when she failed to yield at the stop sign. Her car was then struck on the passenger side by a truck driven by Rollin Britsch, 67, of Archbold, who was southbound on State Route 108. The vehicle driven by Depinet went off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole.

James Depinet, 67, of Fayette, the front seat passenger in Depinet’s vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Brenda Depinet, along with two backseat passengers, was taken by helicopter to Mercy Heath St. Vincent Medical Center. Depinet is listed in fair conditions. Names have not been released of the two backseat passengers, ages 12 years and 4 years. However, it has been noted that both sustained serious injuries.

Lonna Britsch, 68, the front seat passenger in Britsch’s vehicle, as well as Sarah Nafziger, 35, of Archbold, who was a backseat passenger in the Britsch vehicle, was taken to the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. Their conditions were not available at the time of this report.


The accident remains under investigation. However, it has been noted that all those involved in the accident were wearing proper restraints.
