Rapper Has Not Drifted Far From Northwest Ohio Roots

Mark James is gaining a name for himself as a rapper. The former student at Hilltop High School just got back from a tour with fellow rapper Lil Wyte.
James spent a few minutes with The Village Reporter to talk about his life.

Who is Mark James Null?
-Mark James Null is a hard working family man that lives life to its fullest.


How did you go from West Unity to rapper?
-I’ve always been interested in music my whole life. Since growing up in Toledo Ohio.

What made you decide to pursue a career in rap?
-I knew that I had the talent for it and the ambition so I just went through with it.

What were the steps on your journey to this point?
-Hard work, dedication and support.

I understand you have toured? What was that like, where did you go? How were the shows/crowds/venues?
-Yes I recently just got back from a tour with national rap artist Lil Wyte. That was great, we traveled to Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois. Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin and Ohio.


How different are those places to where you grew up?
-Not really different, just the surroundings and different people to be around that shows love and a lot of support.

Where do you get your motivation and inspiration?
-I get that from my family and fans. They all keep me going and stay supporting.

What the challenges balancing work and family life?
-It can be difficult but knowing my family supports me 100 percent keeps me motivated and dedicated as living a full time family man and Hip Hop Artist.

How big a role does your family play in your life?
– My family has a huge role in my life. They are my everything.


What would you like people in your hometown to know about you?
-I’m just a humble man that’s living his dream and always will be. I can be booked for any events. parties and more. Newest album “Next Session” with features by Lil Wyte, Mike Jones, C-Stone and more is released and is out now. More tours and shows are in the process.
