Thursday, October 13 Scoring Summary

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

Pettisville continued their dominance in BBC play with a three set victory over North Central with scores of 25-10, 25-27, 25-19. The Blackbirds contributing to the win were: Kyra Behnfeldt- 7/9 Serving, 12 Digs; Teagan Kauffman- 12/14 serving w/ 5 Aces, 17/25 Hitting w/ 9 Kills, 6 Digs; Morgan Leppelmeier- 13/15 Serving w/2 Aces, 22/24 Hitting w/110 Kills, 8 Digs; Jess Youse- 14/14 Serving w// 3 Aces, 15/17 Hitting w/12 Kills, 2 Solo Blocks; Carly Bontrager- 11/12 Serving w/3 Aces, 76/77 Setting w/31 Assists, Sami Tilley- 7/9 Hitting w/4 Kills. Leading the Eagles were Kelsie Sutton with nine good serves and one ace, Alyssa Swank with eight kills, 19 good passes for Addie Elser.

Hilltop downed Fayette in three sets with scores of 25-12, 25-23, 24-26, 21-25 and 15-13. Ariana Brown paced the Cadets with 23/25 attacks and 11 kills and served up five aces. Kelsey Fruchey led the Eagles with 28 kills and 16 digs. Bailee Smith added 15 kills and 16 digs while McKenzee Schaffner finished with five service aces in her 17/17 service attempts.

JUNIOR VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

Pettisville defeated North Central in two sets with scores of 23-25 and 25-18. Leading the Blackbirds were: Mikayla Graber – 13/14 hitting, 3 kills, 14/15 serving, 5 aces, 31/31 setting, 5 assists; Ryeana Klopfenstein- 10/11 hitting, 3 kills; Madeleine Wixom – 9/9 serve receive; Mauricea Crouch – 8/9 hitting, 5 kills, 41/43 setting, 9 assists; Jordan skates – 12/13 hitting, 5 kills, 6 digs, 13/14 serving, 5 aces; Danielle king – 7/7 hitting, 6 kills, 2 blocks, 14 digs; Lindsey Crossgrove – 6/6 serving.

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL


North Central seventh grade defeated Pettisville in two sets with scores of 25-12 and 25-15. (No individual stats were submitted.) In the eighth grade match the Eagles were 25-3, 25-10 winners.

BOYS VARSITY SOCCER

Pettisville 6, Delta 1
The Blackbirds shut down the Panthers from the NWOAL in a non-conference matchup. Scoring the goals for Pettisville included: Landon Roth and Conner Wyse each with two, Mitchell Avina and Justin Rupp scored the other two Blackbird goals. Delta’s score came from the foot of Ethan Myers. The Blackbirds outshot Delta 17 to 5.

GIRLS VARSITY SOCCER


Archbold 11, Evergreen 0
The Bluestreaks improved to 10-5-1 with their NWOAL shutout victory. Emie Peterson exploded with six goals for the Streaks while Chloe Nofziger scored a hat trick with three and Kamryn Hostetler netted two goals. Peterson was just as effective as the assist leader with three while McKenna Lantz had two assists to go with Hostetler’s one.

Wauseon 10, Delta 0
The Indians warmed up for the Division II tournament with the NWOAL victory over the Panthers. Jadelyn Vasvery tallied four goals during the contest, all in the first half of play. Torri Bost scored a hat trick with all three of her goals also in the first half. Mya Suarez added one goal as did Beth Yackee and Kendra Gorcsyka. Avery Giguere led with two assists.
