Montpelier Women Of The Moose Hold Chapter Activity Night

Montpelier Chapter No. 270, Women of the Moose, held Community Service Committee chapter activity night Thursday, Dec. 1st. Marissa Campos, seated at right, was guest speaker for the meeting. She serves as Williams County co-ordinator for Northwest Ohio Special Olympics. She gave an overview of Special Olympics services and sports activities offered in the area including bowling, basketball and track, tournaments such as the All-Star Cage Classic in Bryan and “Tent-town” state Special Olympics held on the Ohio State University main campus in Columbus each summer. She was presented a $50.00 donation from the chapter. Other donations from the chapter included $50.00 to Helping Hands Food Pantry, represented by Paula Pfeffley, seated at left, $100.00 to See & Do Club of Montpelier, and $50.00 to Moose Charities for Women of the Moose Scholarship and Maintenance Fund and Mooseheart “Child City” Special Activities Fund. Also pictured are WOTM chapter members, standing from left to right, Community Service Chairman Joyce Schelling, Acting Senior Regent Kara Custer, Secretary-Treasurer Melinda Evers, Recorder Rey McKinney and Junior Graduate Regent Bonnie Gonzales. The annual Montpelier Moose Children’s Christmas Party will be held Saturday, Dec. 17th at 2:00 p.m. with a visit by Santa himself. Candy donations for the party are appreciated.
