Allen L. Kerr, 82, of Alvordton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
Allen was born September 20, 1941, in Medina, Michigan, son of the late Lester J. and Francis A. (Shadbolt) Kerr.
He served in the United States Army from March 30, 1960, until his honorable discharge on March 18, 1963. Allen married Louella F. Bentley on September 4, 1970, in Morenci, Michigan and she survives.
He worked at Agri Services in maintenance for 16 years. Allen has a passion for working on cars and tinkering.
He often was found outside golfing or fishing. Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Surviving is his loving wife of 53 years, Louella Kerr of Alvordton, Ohio; three children, Bobbie Kerr, Kris Kerr, and Rachel Kerr; six grandchildren, including: Robin Kerr, Eli Wittenmyer, and Caid Wittenmyer; brother, Jerry Kerr; beloved dog and two cats, Angus McGregor Kerr, Freddie Kerr, and Mr. T. Kerr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings, Constance Bernet, Shirley Bentley, and Ronald Kerr.
To honor Allen’s wishes there will be no visitation or services held at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 N. Liberty Street, West Unity, Ohio.
