Andrew D. King, age 93 years, of Archbold, passed away Friday evening, April 7, 2023 at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home.
He was born December 26, 1929 to Henry and Ida (Weber) King and married Doris Short on March 25, 1951 and she preceded him in death on November 13, 2022.
He was a lifelong farmer from 8th grade to age 80, and drove truck for Geiger Transportation hauling livestock.
Andy loved spending time at the lake, hunting, fishing and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a German Township Trustee and maintenance worker for several years. He was a lifelong member of Central Mennonite Church.
He is survived by three children, Bonnie (Jim) Badenhop, Jerry (Stephanie) King, Kathy Rupp; son-in-law Jeff Rupp all of Archbold; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris; a daughter Marlene Rupp; four brothers, Freeman King, Dale King, Olen King and Orville King; five sisters, Dorothy Lantz, Inez King, Delilah King, Martha King and Florence Nofziger.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, at Central Mennonite Church at 11 AM. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 3-7 PM. Interment will be in the Pettisville Cemetery. Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements.
