Annette Marie Makula, age 73, of Delta and recently of Wauseon, passed away with her loving family by her side at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice in Defiance Saturday morning, July 17, 2021. She was born in Wauseon on August 26, 1947 to the late Joseph Kistner and Audrey (Pancoast) Kistner.
Annette graduated from Delta High School. Annette married Don McQuillin and together they were blessed with two sons, Kyle and Matt McQuillin. She later was joined in marriage to Lewis “Lew” Makula on January 28, 2011 and he preceded her in death on April 1, 2012.
Annette was active in the Delta United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing and being involved in various ministries. She was a member of the Delta American Legion Auxiliary, Fulton County Christian Church Ministries and the Delta Eagles #2597 where she supported the memorial team.
Along with being an accomplished soloist Anette also enjoyed the art and craft of stained glass. Her working career included the Meilink Safe Company in Whitehouse and Globe Weiss in Wauseon before retiring.
Along with her sons, Kyle McQuillin and Matt (Kim) McQuillin she is survived by her brother, Kenneth (Carolyn) Kistner; sisters, Carol (Lemoyne) Tuckerman, Bonnie Guhl and Cheryl Fritz; grandchildren, Drew, Madison and Lexe McQuillin.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lewis Makula she was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Ruple.
Friends and family will be received at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM; where an Eagles Service will begin at 7:30 PM. A memorial service celebrating Annette’s life will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday also at the funeral home. Pastor David Underwood will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Delta American Legion, #373, 5939 St Hwy 109, Delta, Ohio 43515 or the Delta Eagles, 304 Main St., Delta, Ohio 43515 in Anette’s memory.
