THE VILLAGE REPORTER

Sandusky, OH – The Archbold Blue Streaks, playing in their first ever Division III state semi-final, fell just short to Canfield South Range by a 1-0 count at Sadusky’s Cedar Point Stadium.

The Streaks put together a solid defensive effort throughout the match holding the Raiders scoreless until the later part of the second half. A Raiders’ free kick found its way to the Streaks net as the Raiders’ Cole Frank gave his team the only goal they would need for the victory.

Congratulations on a fine season to Archbold seniors: Lucas Ingram, Jeremy Lerma, Elijah Robinson, A.J. Short and Mike Weigand for a season that the Blue Streak faithful will remember for years to come.

South Range improves to 18-3 on the season, and will play Cincinnati Summit Country Day Saturday at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus at 7 PM. The Silver Knights have won two of the last three state championships.
