Archbold High School Celebrates Homecoming 2024

Archbold High School celebrated their 2024 homecoming on September 20, 2024 with the presentation of the court which capped off a week of activities at the school.

Things began with Freshman Escort Garrett Beck. Garrett is the son of Brock and Megan Beck. Garrett is the older brother to Luke Beck.

Garrett is involved in baseball and wrestling. Garrett’s favorite school year memory is playing football games in the student section. He is very happy to have been chosen by the freshman class as the escort.

The Freshman Attendant was Emersyn Selgo. Emersyn is the daughter of Jayson and Olivia Selgo. She has three siblings. Siblings include Irleyn, Gherig, and Crew.


Emersyn is involved in FCCLA, FCA, volleyball, softball, track, and student council. Emersyn’s favorite high school memory was checking on the fish in the locker room every day before volleyball practices. Emersyn was excited and thankful to be selected for the homecoming court.

The 2024 Sophomore Escort was Griffen Lee Valentine. He is the son of Jason and Melissa Valentine. Griffen’s siblings include Madden, Javery and Gentry. Griffen is involved in golf, FFA, and FCA.

Griffen is involved in a few activities outside of school which include going to the lake, fishing with friends, and riding his four-wheeler. His favorite school memory has been hanging out with the golf team this year. Griffen was thankful and excited for the opportunity to be selected to be on the homecoming court.


Irelyn Selgo was this year’s Sophomore Attendant. Irelyn is the daughter of Jayson and Olivia Selgo. She has 3 younger siblings: Emersyn, Gherig, and Crew. Irelyn is involved in soccer, track, and FCCLA.

Her favorite school memory was staying at the Radison hotel her freshman year for a soccer tournament in Cleveland. Irelyn was excited and very thankful for the opportunity to represent the sophomore class this year.

The Junior Escort is CJ Arroyo-Thompson. His mother is Abby Thompson and stepfather is Tony Watson. CJ is involved in golf, baseball, and wrestling. CJ is also involved in travel baseball, golf, and youth group outside of high school.

His favorite school memory is getting to make new friends. CJ was a little surprised at the opportunity to be voted on the homecoming court this year. CJ expressed to the crowd that you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength.


The Junior Attendant was Brynn Hurst. Brynn is the daughter of Andrew and Brittany Hurst. Brynn has 4 siblings, Aubree, Gabe, Isaac and Zeb. Brynn is involved in soccer, track and FCCLA. Brynn is also involved in 4-H, and Evan Youth Group.

Brynn’s favorite high school memory is traveling with the soccer team to our showcase every summer. Brynn felt honored by her grade to be selected for the homecoming court, and happy to represent the junior class.

The Senior Escort was Sonny Phillips. He is the son of Curt and Kriss Phillips. He has 3 siblings Makayla, Kody, and Harley. Sonny is involved in soccer, golf, basketball, track, and student council.

Sonny does stay busy outside of the high school by working. Sonny’s favorite memory of high school is winning the league championship his junior year for basketball. Sonny felt very honored to be voted to be on the homecoming court this year.

The 2024 Senior Attendant was Jazla Shae Torres. She is the daughter of Michael and Reyna Foth. Jazla’s siblings are Jayden and Jace Foth. She’s involved in volleyball, FCCLA, basketball cheer, and track.

Jazla is also involved in many activities outside of high school which include her church youth group, piano lessons, and hanging out with friends. Jazla’s favorite memory of high school is attending football games with friends and dressing the themes. Jazla was excited and happy to be on the homecoming court with Keely. Jazla also said that she is also very excited to be a basketball cheerleader this winter.

The 2024 Homecoming Prince and Princess were Zeb Hurst, and Willa Joy Meyer. Zeb is the son of Andrew and Brittany Hurst.

Zeb is the sibling to Brynn, Aubree, Gabe, and Isaac Hurst. Zeb is in the first grade. Plays flag football, basketball and baseball. Zeb enjoys Sunday school, fishing, hunting, tubing, and snow skiing. Zeb would like to thank his cousin Mason for choosing him to be the prince.

The princess, Willa, is the daughter of Dave and Coricia Meyer. Willa is the younger sister of Grace, Emma, and Anna Meyer. She likes singing songs, listening to stories, and making crafts. In Willa’s free time she enjoys playing with Legos and picking flowers. Willa also spends a lot of time cheering on big sisters at all of their sporting events.

She loves spending time with her family and going on vacations. Willa would like to thank the homecoming court for asking her to be the Princess. Willa is very excited to be on the homecoming court. She would also like to give a shout out to Mr. Sell for her favorite cheeseburgers.

The 2024 Homecoming King was Mason Bickel. He is the son of Joe and Laura Bickel. Mason has two sisters, Allie and Makenna. Mason is involved in basketball, soccer, track, and FFA.

Mason’s favorite high school memory is catching the frogs that got loose in Mrs. Bickel’s class. Mason is proud of the fact that he can almost do a backflip. Mason is very happy that he has been chosen to be on the homecoming court and selected as the King.

Archbold High School’s 2024 Homecoming Queen was Keely Culler. Keely is the daughter of John and Debbie Culler. Keely has four younger siblings, Brady, Reese, Kensley, and Crew Culler.

Keely is involved in volleyball, and NHS. Kelly is also involved in club volleyball outside of school. Her favorite high school memory is playing volleyball with some of her best friends. Keely is very grateful that she was selected to be the homecoming court and chosen to be on the Homecoming Queen.


Archbold High School’s 2024 Homecoming celebrated with a week of activities, culminating in the presentation of the court on September 20.
