Barbara J. Wood, 91, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at the Freida House at Willow Ridge in Bluffton, Ohio. She was born Feb. 2, 1927, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Chester E. and Helen (Griffis) Brown. On July 1, 1950, she married Charles E.Wood, and he survives.
Barbara was a former office secretary at Kenton High School, and a homemaker. She was a member of Ada First United Methodist Church.
She was a former member of Christ United Methodist Church in Wauseon and Lake Panasoffkee United Methodist Church in Florida. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Also surviving is a son, Steven (Susan) Wood of Findlay, Ohio; three daughters, Nancy Allison of Findlay, Ohio, Patricia (Bruce) Dunzweiler of Sylvania, and Sue (Robert) Davie of Marcellus, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Kay Cook.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, Ohio, with Pastor Rich Bucher officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, and until time of service Monday, at the funeral home.
