Beamont Goes For 22, But Edon Bombers Rally To Dump Stryker In The Hangar

EDON: February 7, 2014 – The Twin Towers of Stryker, Parker Ruffer and Tanner Clingaman, found a ready and waiting Edon defense ready to deflate their numbers on February 7. With Ruffer held to just 13 points and Clingaman a deuce, it was a cakewalk for the Boys in Bomber Blue.

Somehow, Dean Beamont of Stryker failed to get that memo.

With his big guys being shut down by Mike Peeples and company, ‘Beamer’ put on an offensive clinic with a career-type night. The Stryker senior guard was the only man standing between the Panthers and a BBC beatdown as he lofted five treys, went 5 of 6 at the line and landed a game-high 22 points as his Panther squad fell by a deuce, 51-49.

Peeples and Kaden Sapp keyed the fourth quarter rally that gave Edon the win. Sapp finished with 18 points, and Peeples had 10. River Wicker hit for 9 points, Jake Brown had 8, Brock Thiel 4 and Landon Bloir 2 points for the Bombers.

Austin Grisier accounted for the remainder of Stryker’s scoring with a dozen.

SCORING BY QUARTER:

Edon 14 15 9 13 – 51

Stryker 17 11 14 7 – 49
