WAYNE TRACE 1/7/2014—The Edon Lady Bombers varsity squad had a tough night against the Raiders of Wayne Trace, being defeated by a margin of 73-37.

Although the final score was not at all close, the Bombers were able to keep within striking distance of the Raiders in the first half. In fact, Wayne Trace would only cling to a 13-12 lead after one quarter of action.

The Bombers would again keep things interesting in the second quarter. While the Wayne Trace lead would grow in the second quarter, it would only be a six point halftime deficit for Edon, 29-23.

The Third quarter is when the Wayne Trace would start to pull away, outscoring the Bombers 26-6 in the period, and expanding their lead to 55-29 at the end of the third quarter.

Wayne Trace would not take their foot of the gas in the final period, scoring 18 more points and holding Edon to only eight points, and the Raiders would go on to win by a 36 point margin, 73-37.

The leading scorer for Edon was Kiess with 12 points. She was followed by Chrisman with ten, Gutting contributed six, Sonneberger scored five, and K. Manahan ended with four.
