Bonnie Jean Norris, age 74, of Pettisville and formerly of Liberty Center, surrounded by her loving family; passed away on Monday afternoon August 1, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in Bowling Green, OH on February 24, 1942 to the late Edward Meeker and Janet (Neal) Minor. On August 2, 1958 she married Ronald “Bill” Norris Sr. in Bowling Green and he survives.
Bonnie has been enjoying retirement in recent years, she was a co-owner of Country Cousin’s Crafts for 18 years with her husband along with working in food preparation at Arby’s and at Chief’s Supermarket. She was a Den Mother, Sunday school teacher, participated in 4-H and sang in choir at her church. Bonnie even had the opportunity to sing at Buck Lake Ranch in Angola, IN. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of a local quilting group. She also enjoyed camping, sewing, crafts and was an avid Ohio State fan. Bonnie loved her grandchildren very much and attended every event her grandchildren were involved in.
Along with her husband of 57 years, Bill; she is survived by her sons, Ronald “Bill” (Jackie) Norris Jr. and Robert “Bob” (Linda) Norris; grandchildren, Wendy Walz, Tyler Norris, Kyle Norris, Corey Norris and Kaitlin Norris; great grandchildren, Aster, Garrett, Ash, Mekie, Genet, Ethan Walz, Makayla, Jayden and Dillon Norris.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry and Randy Meeker.
Friends will be received from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the True North Ministry Center, 850 West Elm Street in Wauseon. Private interment will be at Wauseon Union Cemetery.
