EDON – It took overtime to decide the Route 49 Holiday Classic championship as Edgerton prevailed with a 62-57 victory over archrival Edon.
The Bulldogs (7-4) had trailed by seven points, 38-31, through three quarters of action before rallying in the fourth quarter outscoring the Bombers 19-12 to force overtime. In the overtime session, Edgerton outscored Edon 12-7 to claim the title.
Masen Elden led Edgerton with 16 points while Brady Everetts added 13, and Maddox Baker tallied 12.
Briggs Gallehue tossed in 34 points to lead Edon (5-3), including 8 of 11 from the charity line, and Kadin Stantz added 11 points.
