FAYETTE – Fayette took advantage of a decisive fourth quarter as the Eagles held off Evergreen, 57-55, in non-league action.
The Eagles (8-2) trailed 43-41 entering the final eight minutes before outscoring Evergreen 16-12 in the fourth quarter to claim the narrow triumph.
Kennedy Kunkle led Fayette with a game-high 18 points while Addison Schang and Kelsie Storrs had 14 points each. The Eagles were 19 of 37 from the free throw line for 47%.
Bailey Lumbrezer led Evergreen (5-4) with 17 points. Lanae Manz added 16 and Lyla Radel 10 points. The Vikings were 11 of 21 for 52% from the stripe.
