N0903P61001CPIONEER – Is it uncouth to refer to a pair of high school girls as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? Just askin’. When Shaylee Oyer and Bralyn Wyrick are in full sync, they transcend the industry standard confines of the ‘dynamic duo’…they are a nightmare to their opposition.
Liberty Center paid a visit to The Nest on January 21 and found Oyer, Wyrick and the rest of the North Central Lady Eagles waiting. The Lady Tigers got an early 13-6 jump on their hosts, but the final three quarters were all Oyer and Wyrick, with a healthy dose of Hannah Siekemeyer thrown in for good measure. The Libery Center lead was gone by halftime, and the Lady Eagles busted out the whupping sticks in the second half to chase off their visitors, 51-37.
Wyrick canned a game-high 20 to lead the Lady Eagles, with Oyer getting 17. Siekemeyer fired off 10 points, Tiana Wheeler had 2 points, and Sabrina Pickford and Julia Rhinard each sank a free throw.

SCORING BY QUARTER:

North Central 6 11 16 18 – 51
Liberty Center 13 8 10 12 – 37
