Brian L. Harris (1970 – 2017)

Brian L. Harris, 46 years, of Bryan, passed away early Sunday, January 29, 2017 in his home, with his family at his side. Brian was born August 13, 1970 in Bryan, Ohio, the son of LaVon and Judy (Hemenway) Harris. He attended Hilltop High School in West Unity and Tarpon Springs High School in Tarpon Springs, Florida.

Brian married Carma J. Rockey on August 26, 1995 in Wauseon, Ohio, and she survives. He worked for Sauder Woodworking for 18 years. He also had worked in construction. Brian was a former member of the Bryan Eagles and the Sons of the American Legion. Brian loved his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

Surviving is his wife, Carma of Bryan; two children, Chelsea Rockey and Bryce Harris, both of Bryan; his mother, Judy Harris of Bryan; one sister, Lori (Reyes) Ramirez of Defiance; grandmother, Annabelle Harris of West Unity; niece, Lindsey Ramirez and one nephew, Levi Ramirez. He was preceded in death by his father, LaVon Harris; grandparents, Glenn Harris, Robert and Virginia Hemenway.

Memorial services for Brian L. Harris will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity. Relatives and friends will be received two hours prior to the service on Friday, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to the family.
