Bryan Swimmers Earn Sweep Over Wauseon

WAUSEON (December 9, 2025) – Bryan’s boys’ and girls’ swim teams remained unbeaten in dual meet action following their victory over Archbold and Wauseon on Tuesday, December 9.


In the boys’ meet, the Golden Bears defeated Wauseon, 122-44, and Archbold, 67-16. Wauseon defeated Archbold, 67-16.

Malachi Reeder of Wauseon was the lone individual double winner in the boys meet. Reeder captured the 100 freestyle (50.55) and 200 freestyle (1:53.49).

Bryan had six different swimmers winning one individual event.


Carter Luce won the 50 free (24.34), Griffin Diaz in diving (199.75 points), Brendan Roberts in the 200 fly (1:02.02), Griffin Boehm in the 500 freestyle (5:28.62), Joshua Sampson in the 100 back (1:06.52) and Will McCann in the 100 breast (1:09.19).

Zach Krueger of Archbold captured the 200 IM with a time of 1:52.37.

The Golden Bears also swept all three relay events. The 200 medley relay of Boehm, Logan Slattery, McCann and Zac Schafer (1:51.40); the 200 freestyle relay of Luce, Roberts, Slattery and Boehm (1:39.14) and the 400 free relay of Roberts, Sampson, Luce and Schafer (3:45.57).

On the girls’ side, the Lady Bears swam to a 148-49 victory over Wauseon. Nora Kunsman and Jalyn Mojica led Bryan with a pair of first place finishes in the individual events.


Nora Kunsman won the 200 freestyle (1:59.56) and 500 freestyle (5:35.42) while Mojica took the 200 IM (2:35.69) and 100 fly (1:10.01).

Other individual winners for the Lady Bears were Anne Kunsman in the 50 freestyle (27.70); and Emma Elkins in the 100 freestyle (1:01.93).

Wauseon had three first place finishers. Kali Spengler won in diving (224.45 points); Ella Bourn in the 100 back (1:12.71) and Molly Case in the 100 breast (1:26.35).

Bryan swept all three relay events. The 200 medley relay of Lydia Meeks, Elkins, Mojica and Nadia Moore (2:05.36); the 200 free relay of Mojica, Moore, Annie Kunsman and Nora Kunsman (1:48.79).
