VISIT BY STATE CHAMPION … The guest speakers at the Kiwanis Club of Bryan meeting this week were Coach Makenzie Luce and state champion swimmer Nora Kunsman from Bryan High School. They spoke about the journey to the state title and the dedication and hard work required to achieve this goal. For Nora, this year is the culmination of a four-year effort to realize her dream. Nora has had a remarkable career at Bryan High School, having qualified for the state swimming tournament every year throughout her tenure there. This year was her breakout with her victory in the 50-yard freestyle event in record fashion. Nora will be going on to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, this fall to continue her swimming career.
