Candy Thornton (1969-2021)

Candy K. Thornton, age 52, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away, Friday, June 4, 2021 at Community Hospitals and Wellness Center-Bryan.  Candy enjoyed coloring and crocheting.

Candy was born on June 1, 1969, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of Ronald J. and Iris K. (Anderson) Scurlock.

She is survived by her mother, Iris Anderson, of Bryan; daughters, Asia Smith, of Zanesville, Ohio and Atisha Viney, of Columbus; son, Tony Curry, of Marietta, Ohio; four grandsons, Xander, Avery, Mason and Evan; a sisters, Mia M. Carpenter, of Maysville, Kentucky and brothers, John M. Scurlock, of Bryan and Eric S. Thaler, of Maysville, Kentucky.  She was preceded in death by her father.

In accordance with Candy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services held.  Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan has been entrusted with her services.


The family requests memorial donations to Krill Funeral Service to help with expenses.
