Carl’s biggest passion in life was playing Euchre. Among his other interests were fishing, camping, and playing golf. He was a lifetime member of the Wauseon and Napoleon VFW’s (of which he was a National Officer for the DAD’s), the Napoleon American Legion, the Moose, and the AMVETS.

Surviving Carl are his wife, Norma; children, Karen Corbin, Kim Knipp-Davis, Kathy (Dana) Garno, Carl (Nikki) Knipp, Kris (Jeremy) Zachrich, Steven B. (Maura) Winters, and Shannon (Todd Baumgartner) Griesinger; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn (Darrel) Wulff and RuthAnn (Mike) Gault; brother, Paul (Carlene) Knipp; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Arlene Mapes.

According to Carl’s wishes, funeral arrangements are private. Those planning a memorial contribution in Carl’s memory are asked to consider the Wauseon VFW, DAD’s.
