Carl M. McKibben (1935 – 2014)

Carl M. “Bud” McKibben, age 79, of Delta, passed away unexpectedly at his home Thursday, May 29, 2014. He was born in Churubusco, IN, on March 15, 1935 to the late Floyd McKibben and Pearl (Williams) McKibben.

Bud was a Veteran having served with the US Army. After graduation he worked for several years as a projectionist with the Delta Movie Theater in the 1950’s. Later Bud worked in the building of the Delta portion of the Ohio Turnpike. After it’s completion he served as the sexton for Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta and later as a sorter and carrier for the Delta Post Office, before returning to the Ohio Turnpike performing road maintenance. Bud was a proud member of Fulton Lodge #248 F&AM.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his infant sister, Mary Lois and brothers, Richard in 1994 and Robert McKibben in 2007. He is survived by his sisters, Doris (Ronald) Lozer of Maple Grove, MN, Marilyn McKibben of Bryan and Patricia Clark also of Bryan; sisters-in-law, Julie McKibben of Delta and Jill McKibben of New York; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to the Masonic Home, 2655 W. National Rd., Springfield, OH 45504-3698 in his memory. Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
