Carol J. Reliford, 70, of Montpelier and formerly of Kentucky passed away at her home on Saturday, October 14th.
She was born on October 30, 1946 in Concord, Michigan to Clair W. and Elizabeth Ella (DeWitt) Shaffer. Carol worked at several factories in Williams County and in Kentucky. She also managed Springs Motel in Russell Springs, Kentucky.
She is survived by one son Jerry K. Smith of Montpelier; one daughter Shirley (Mike) Rodgers of Rushsylvania, Ohio; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; brother Clair Shaffer of West Unity; and sister Helen Ayers of Casa Grande, Arizona.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Sarah Smith, and two sisters, Maxine Wade and Dorothy Jordon.
