Charles R. “Alfie” Zuver, 57, of West Unity, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at his home.
Charles was born April 21, 1966, in Montpelier, Ohio, son of Jimmie Linn and Betty Lou (Routt) Zuver.
He was a 1985 graduate of Millcreek-West Unity High School. Charles previously worked at Clark Farms and Jones Welding and Auto Repair.
He was a former member of the Sons of the Legion, West Unity American Legion Post 669. Charles loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He cherished spending time with his family and dog, Lucy.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather Betty and Duane Stamm of Fayette, Ohio; son, Cody Zuver of West Unity, Ohio; brother, Bob Zuver of West Unity, Ohio; many nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his dad, Jimmie Linn Zuver; four brothers, James, Tony, Henry, and Douglas Zuver.
To honor Charles’ wishes there will be no visitation or services held at this time. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity. The family request memorial contributions be directed to Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home to defray funeral cost.
