Charles O. “Chuck” Stevens WEBCharles O. “Chuck” Stevens 66, of Pioneer passed away Wednesday March 2, 2016 at his home after a brief illness. He was born September 15, 1949 in Bryan, Ohio to Charles I. and Donna M. (Williams) Stevens. Chuck was a 1969 Montpelier High School graduate. He married Geraldine F. Mancini October 8, 1988 in West Unity, Ohio and she survives.

Chuck retired in 2015 from Gamco in Hillsdale, Michigan as a machinist. Prior to that, he had worked for Haldiman Machines in Montpelier. He attended Silver Creek Church of the Brethren of rural Pioneer.

In addition to his wife, Geri, Chuck is survived by one son: Christopher O. Stevens of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one daughter: Amy O. (Eugene) Quaite also of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three stepsons: Michael (Juliette) Lenz of Sylvania, Ohio; David (Kim) Lenz of Montpelier and Daniel (Mary) Lenz of Bryan; three grandchildren: Anthony J. Bradley, Andrew T. Bradley and Caleb O. Stevens; six step grandchildren; Cassie Mata, Laura Lenz, Brittney Lenz, Nicole Lenz, Jacob Lenz and Jessica Lenz; three step great grandchildren: Gage Mata, Cody Lenz and Gabriel Lawrence; two brothers: Larry (Kathy) Stevens and Donald Stevens all of Florida; four sisters: Jean Hicks, Janet (Arthur) Follett, Joan (Gary) Davis and Jeri (Tom) Taylor all of Montpelier.

Visitation for Chuck will be held Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 12:00 noon until 7:00 P.M at the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Reverend Terry Baldwin to officiate. Burial will follow at the Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer, Ohio.

Donations in memory of Chuck may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com
