Christine Gail Cooley, age 69, of Montpelier, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
She was a homemaker and helped her husband on their dairy farm. Christine was an active member of Trinity Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Defiance.
She was a friend of people and animals. She would take in stray animals and happily share the rewards of her gardens, canning, cooking and baking.
Christine was born on January 25, 1955, in Brockton, Massachusetts, the daughter of Robert H. and Virginia F. (Healy) Downes. She married Larry D. Cooley on November 27, 1977 in Coldwater, Michigan and he survives.
Christine is also survived by her daughters, Collette (Alex) Knight, of Defiance and Charmayne (James Estabrook) Cooley, of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan; son, LaDean (Tatiana) Cooley, of Dallas, Georgia; three grandchildren, Alivia Knight, Zacharia Knight and Owen Gibson. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Connie.
Visitation for Christine will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 4:00-6:00pm at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation with Pastor Roy Lawinsky officiating.
