Clarence J. Zimmerman

Clarence J. ZimmermanClarence J. Zimmerman, age 88, of Stryker passed away unexpectedly in his home on Thursday April 7, 2016. Prior to his retirement he had worked for the Spangler Candy Company in Bryan.

Mr. Zimmerman was born in Wauseon, Ohio on April 25, 1928 the son of the late Jay and the late Anna (Deagle) Zimmerman. On February 5, 1949 he married the former E. Louise Schlosser and she preceded him in death in 2008. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. Mr. Zimmerman was a member of the Stryker American Legion Post #60.

Surviving is daughter Sandra (Robert) Seigneur of Pioneer, son; Jerry (Connie) Zimmerman of Bryan, 2 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is brother; Martin Zimmerman of Wauseon. Preceding him in death besides his parents and wife were children; Sue Ann Zimmerman and Michael Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday April 13, 2016 at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Interment will follow in the Evansport Cemetery with military rites being provided by the Stryker American Legion Post #60. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 9:00am until service time at 11:00am. The family asks that charitable contributions be given to either the Williams County Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
