Column: TWO MINUTE DRILL – All Nations

I have enjoyed watching the 2026 Winter Olympics. I’m always impressed by the stories of courage, discipline, and perseverance. People from all nations, put on a world stage, where humility and pride are both revealed.

These winter Olympics featured 93 nations competing for one spot on the podium. Unfortunately, not all nations will win a gold medal.

As a matter of fact, according to CBS News, “Out of the 93 nations that participated in the 2026 Winter Olympics, only 29 nations won at least one medal.”

This means 64 participating nations finished the Games without a medal. I’ve never thought about so many nations trying to bring home a medal, and it never happens.

I have good news, for all nations! Jesus Christ came to eliminate the podium. Jesus Christ came to offer something more precious than medals and crowns, gold and silver, or riches and fame. Jesus came to offer salvation to all nations, whether they want it or not!

Jesus said, “For God so loved the world (The world!), that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life!”

(John 3:16) Jesus also said, “And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14) God has a message of love for all nations!

God commands us, His followers to share this Good News! “For the Good News must first be preached to all nations.” (Mark 13:10) “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)

I’m not sure if you noticed this, but when the media announcers commentate on the Olympic athletes’ performance, there are times you are not sure if the athlete is American or not. They get excited for everyone!

In the same way, understanding God’s love for the world and His mandate that we share salvation with all nations, let’s be excited to share the Good News of Jesus Christ!

Praise God that FCA reaches out to all nations, ethnic groups, and diverse backgrounds! We are a global ministry reaching all people, within all nations.

Pray today for those in your community, our area, our state, and for the multitudes around the world!
