STRYKER – For the first half of their January 22 game, you would be hard pressed to tell if it was the Edgerton Lady Bulldogs or the Stryker Lady Panthers that were mired in a rebuilding season. The Lady Panthers hung close in the first period, then took a 17-10 halftime lead over their visitors. The wheels fell off in the second half though, as a 15-5 third put Edgerton up to stay, en route to a 39-29 win.
Conner Varner turned in a gutty example of ‘carrying the team’, putting in 21 of the 29 Panther points. Connor Sullivan threw down 5 points, while Michaela Rupp had 2 points, and Christie Huston added a free throw.
