A fiery single vehicle crash on State Route 64 near Metamora on July 29 resulted in the death of one person. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim is being withheld pending confirmation from the Fulton County Coroner’s Office. Only one person was in the car.
The driver was traveling south on Route 64 north of County Road S when, for reasons not yet known, the pickup went off the left side of the road, striking a traffic sign and a tree before erupting into flames. The incident remains under investigation.
