Dail W. Stutzman, age 95, of Wauseon, passed away January 20, 2023 at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold.

Dail was a farmer, and also worked as a superintendent at Boyer’s Construction.

Dail was born on March 12, 1927 in Wauseon to the late Daniel J. and Martha Anna (Frazier) Stutzman.

On November 22, 1947, Dail married the love of his life, Ellen, who preceded him in death on May 13, 2022. Together, they spent 74 wonderful years together.

Dail and Ellen were longtime members of Christ United Methodist Church in Wauseon, Ohio. Dail and Ellen spent many winters in Haines City, Florida, where Dail enjoyed golfing.

There were also many memories made at the cottage in Devils Lake, Michigan. Not only did they love wintering in Florida, they were world travelers, having visited Hawaii, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Bahamas and many places in the United States.

Above everything, Dail loved his family, from the children to the great-grandchildren; spending time with them was his pride and joy.

Dail is survived by his daughters, Daileen (Thomas) Silhavy and Jane (Thomas) Moyer; grandsons, Andrew (Jacki) Moyer, Marc (Jessica) Silhavy, Benjamin Moyer, and Ned (Sue) Silhavy; great-grandchildren, Payton, Addison and Brooklyn Moyer; Trenton Moyer; Adam, Andrew and Matthew Silhavy; sister, Annabelle Green; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and siblings, Audrey Fritsch, Geneva Stiving, Paul Stutzman, Wayne Stutzman, and Martha June Eberly.

Visitation for Dail will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon from 10am to 11am. A funeral service for Dail will begin at 11am, with Dan Bruner officiating. Burial will follow the service at Zion Cemetery on county road 11.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Sauder Village or Elara Hospice.

Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.

The Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home of Wauseon is honored to serve the Stutzman family.
