
Damian M. Boyd, 11, of rural Waldron, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Hillsdale Hospital. Born May 15, 2007, in Bryan, OH, he was the son of Derek Boyd and Joni Snow.
Damian was a student at Hudson Middle School where he was in the 6th grade. He enjoyed playing football and wrestling for his school. Outside of school Damian enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing with his friends, watching the University of Michigan football with his dad and spending weekends playing PlayStation and board games at his grandma Belinda’s house with his siblings.
Surviving are his parents, Derek (Kortnie) Boyd of Waldron; Joni Snow of OH; siblings, Nathan Boyd, Karli Boyd, Delaynie Boyd, and Ellie Merillat; maternal grandparents, Jenny Snow of Muskegon, MI and Tom Snow of FL; paternal grandparents, Belinda Barron of Montpelier, OH and Michael Boyd of Coldwater, MI; step-grandparents, Wendy Mullane of Clayton, MI and Brad Albeck of Shawnee, OK; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 2-8 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson. A funeral service for Damian will be held Sunday, January 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hudson with Father Todd Koenigsknecht officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ransom Township.

Damian was a good friend and invited me to be his friend unlike other people
