David L. Douglass, 80 years, of Bryan, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance. David was born April 12, 1936 in Aurora, Illinois, the son of the late Cecil N. and Anna (Vessel) Douglass. He was a 1954 Bryan High School graduate and received his college education at Alexander Hamilton Institute. An Army veteran, David was employed in Sales Engineering in the Plastics Industry. He also worked as a Security Guard for Chase Brass and Titan Tire for several years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan Moose Lodge 1064, Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233 and the Knights of Columbus Council 1915.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, JoAnn Douglass Ohman. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Lach Ohman of Bryan and several close friends.

Funeral Mass for David L. Douglass will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 610 Portland Street, Bryan, with Father Jim Halleron officiating. Visitation for David will be held one hour prior to the service at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Private interment will take place beside his parents in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, Illinois. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Bryan.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial donations be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 610 Portland Street, Bryan, Ohio 43506.
