David R ClarkDavid R. Clark, 71, of Montpelier, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance. He was born July 12, 1945 in Dover, Ohio to Doyle and Alma (Westfall) Clark. David graduated from Minerva High School, attended college and then served in the United States Army. On July 1st 1982, David married Patricia A. (McCauley) Siekemeyer in Canton, Ohio.

At one time, David worked as a foreman at Custom Plastics in Bryan. He retired from Bosch as a tool engineer in 2010. David’s hobbies included playing an electric guitar, wine making and gardening.

In addition to his wife Patricia, David is survived by his children, Pagan, David (Debbie), Dwight (Kathy), Doug (Michelle); step-children: Buddie, John and Steven; three brothers and three sisters; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation for David will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 1-2pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Mindy Elliott to officiate. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier with Military Graveside Rites from the Montpelier Veterans.


Memorials are requested to the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice. Condolences can be left at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
