David Lee Weirich, 64, of Moberly, Missouri passed away on October 22, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 22, 1956 in Waterloo, Indiana to Robert and Phyllis (Bohler) Weirich. David graduated from Montpelier High School in 1974. He married Pamela McCreey on July 29, 1995 and she survives.

Davy worked for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad in the Maintenance of Way Dept on the Tie Surfacing Gang Division for 38 years, retiring in 2013.

Davy had quite a sense of humor and always wanted to make people laugh. He dearly loved to play tricks on his friends, family and grandchildren. One of his fun quirks was to drink Hershey Chocolate Syrup straight from the bottle.

Davy is survived by his mother Phyllis Dunn, stepmother Karen Weirich, wife Pamela, three children, David Dean (Kim) Weirich of Bryan, Shianna (Kayla Purnell) Weirich, Brenden (Kelsey West) Weirich, stepson Andrew Romanetto of Missouri and three grandchildren, Alex (Madison Delong) Weirich, Maria Romanetto and Preston Weirich.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Weirich and stepfather Harold Dunn.

A memorial and fellowship time will be held for local friends and family on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 2pm at House of Prayer Fellowship Hall, 115 Empire Street, Montpelier, Ohio. Those wishing to attend are asked to abide by the state social distancing guidelines and masks are encouraged.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in c/o Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier. Condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
