Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney Sentencings

THE FOLLOWING PERSONS WERE BROUGHT BEFORE THE DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMON PLEAS COURT FOR ARRAIGNMENT ON FELONY MATTERS:

Timothy A. Canterbury-age 27-Not Guilty plea, $25,000 cash bond w/10% allowed, pre-trial 9/18/24 @ 1:30 p.m.

Eric L. Goudy-age 21-Not Guilty plea, OR bond, TPO and No Contact Order, pre-trial 9/27/24 @ 9 a.m.

Dustin R. Jones-age 31-Not Guilty plea, $50,000 cash bond w/10% allowed, pre-trial 9/10/24 @ 10:30 a.m.

Stephen S. Sarnac IV-age 42-Not Guilty plea, OR bond, pre-trial 9/23/24 @ 9:15 a.m.

Pete D. Bostelman-age 54-Not Guilty pleas, $100,000 cash bond w/10% allowed, pre-trial 9/26/24 @ 10:30 a.m.

Charity C. Bollman-age 38-Not Guilty pleas, OR bond, pre-trial 10/3/24 @ 9 a.m.

THE FOLLOWING PERSONS HAVE RECENTLY ENTERED GUILTY OR NO CONTEST PLEAS IN THE DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMON PLEAS COURT:

Jeffrey M. Rodesiler-age 44-Guilty pleas to Attempted Tampering with Evidence-F4 and Aggravated Possession of Drugs-F5, PSI ordered, sentencing 10/24/24 @ 9:30 a.m.

William Ebersole-age 59-Guilty plea to Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs-F4, PSI ordered, sentencing 10/8/24 @ 9:30 a.m.

William H. Gray-age 43–Guilty plea to Theft-F5, PSI ordered, sentencing 10/24/24 @ 2 p.m.

Jerry E. Stevens-age 66–Guilty pleas to Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, a Drug of Abuse or a Combination of Them-F3 and Assault-F4, PSI ordered, sentencing 10/31/24 @ 10:15 a.m.

Taleya D. Thomas-age 36-Guilty pleas to Two Counts of Telecommunications Fraud-F4’s, PSI ordered, sentencing 10/31/24 @ 9:30 a.m.

Dajon M. Jones-age 29-Guilty pleas to Improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle-F5, the Specification for Forfeiture or Property, and Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, a Drug of Abuse or a Combination of Them-M1, PSI ordered, sentencing 10/23/24 @ 2:30 p.m.

Travis F. Kates-age 37–Guilty pleas to Breaking & Entering-F5 and Theft-M1, PSI ordered, sentencing 10/29/24 @ 10:30 a.m.

Kevin S. Nonhof-age 60-Guilty plea to Attempted Felonious Assault-F3, PSI ordered, sentencing 10/23/24 @ 10 a.m.

 PLEA/SENTENCING:

Tre A. Vasquez-age 31-Guilty plea to Menacing by Stalking-F4 and sentenced to 9 months at ODRC to be served consecutively to prison term ordered in Case No. 21 CR 14529 for a total of 39 months at ODRC, costs, TPO dissolved, jail credit for 60 days, post-sentence investigation ordered. (From June 29, 2024, through, July 1, 2024, Vasquez engaged in a pattern of conduct that caused mental distress to another and also caused the victim to believe that he would cause them or their family serious physical harm. Vasquez also has a history of violence against the victim.)

THE FOLLOWING PERSONS HAVE RECENTLY BEEN SENTENCED IN THE DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMON PLEAS COURT:

Damien P. Bell-age 25-Sentenced for Disseminating Matter Harmful to Juveniles-F5 to 2 years CCS with 12 months at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, no bars/alcohol, not use/possess/consume cannabis products, no contact with victim or victim’s family, TPO dissolved, costs.
