(Resident Of Wauseon)

Diane Kay Borton (Hall), 79, of Wauseon, OH, was born on January 24, 1945, to Charles and Elnora Hall in Bluffton, OH. She passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2024, at the Fulton County Health Center.

Diane was a beloved wife, mother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. Diane was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Elnora Hall, her first husband James Miller, her brother Roger Hall, and her sister Sandy Grime.

Diane is survived by her husband Duane Borton of 52 years; her four beautiful daughters Kerri Kurfiss and husband Denny, Jamie Deck and husband Mike, Holly Burget and husband Ron, and Jantzi Palermo and husband Joe; her 12 wonderful grandchildren Josh (Jordyn) and Jace (Ali) Kurfiss; Tyler (Kelee), Justin, Konner, Chaeli, and Marin Deck; Noah, Caden, Jettie, Carson, and Baylor Burget; and 2 lovely great grandchildren, Quinn and Josie Kurfiss, and a baby on the way; and her sister Marlene Logan.

Throughout her life, Diane was known for her never-ending love for her family. Diane loved nothing more than to spend time with her children and grandchildren, while making memories to last a lifetime.

Her compassionate nature and generous spirit were evident in her many acts of kindness throughout her life. It never failed that Diane could go out into the world and make a friend no matter where she was whether that be up town at Walmart, at the airport, or at a ball game.

There is nothing Diane would have rather done then spending her time watching her grandkids in a rodeo, playing a sport, marching in the band, decorating for the holidays. She loved to spoil her family and friends with sweet homemade treats, especially her homemade sugar cookies and pies.

Diane will be dearly missed by her family and friends who meant the world to her. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her life will be celebrated for the joy and love she brought into the world.

As we remember her, we reflect on the cherished moments we shared in her presence and how deeply she valued every person and every moment.

A small service will be held on Friday, November 29th, 2024 at 11:00 am with a short visitation starting at 10:00 am at Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon, Ohio, to honor Diane’s life.

In lieu of flowers we ask that memorial contributions be made to the family to help cover funeral expenses. Please join us as we celebrate the life of Diane Borton and all that she brought to this world.

Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
