Donald Burkholder (1935 – 2017)

Donald Dean Burkholder, age 82, of Archbold, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017, in his home.

Prior to his retirement in 1996, he had worked at ITT Higbie in Archbold, for 32 years.

Donald was born in Fulton County on January 28, 1935, the son of Adam and Beulah (Hooley) Burkholder. On July 3, 1959 he married Patricia Owens, and she survives.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 – 1956.
Surviving is his wife, Patricia; two sons, Guy (Evelyn) Burkholder of Archbold, Grant (Kelli) Burkholder of Ridgeville Corners; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Margie (Lester) King of Pettisville, Dorothy Grieser of Archbold, Donna Graber of Texas, Betty (Sam) Yeager of California; and sister-in-law, Helen Burkholder of Archbold. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joe Burkholder, and three sisters, Sally Humbarger, Mable Jantzi and Alta Leininger.


Services will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with arrangements.
