Donald Keith (1956-2019)

Donald G. Keith, age 62, of Wauseon, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee, Ohio surrounded by his loving family. 

Donald was born February 16, 1956 in Detwiler Hospital, Wauseon, Ohio to the late Archie Charles Keith and Lois (Heer) Keith, and his mother survives. He married Melinda Flores on July 15, 1980 and she survives.  He was a 30 year employee of Young Spring and Wire where he was employed as a Mechanic and Electrical Journeyman. 

Donald was a member of the UAW, Fulton County Sportsman’s Club, Wauseon Parks and Recreation Organization as a coach and mentor.  He loved his family and grandchildren, riding his Harley, his family pets, Archie and Bosco, and coaching soccer with the Special Olympics.  

Survivors include his wife, Melinda Keith, of Wauseon.  Son, Timothy C. Keith, Wauseon.  Two daughters, Melissa J. (Austin) Waidelich, Wauseon.  Sarah R. Keith, Wauseon.  Grandchildren,  Treston, Dane, Jaten, Jackson, Daemon, Amelia.  His mother, Lois Keith, Payne, Ohio.  Brother, Carl (Diane) Keith, Defiance, Ohio.  Sister, Patricia (John) Mulligan, Bryan, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews that affectionately called him “Uncle Quack”. He is preceded in death by his father.


Friends may call for a time of visitation with the family 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2019 in the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon, Ohio.  Funeral service and celebration of Donald’s life will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.  Mario and Peter Flores will officiate.  Funeral luncheon will follow the funeral service Sunday in Rotary Park Pavilion, Wauseon, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, and other memento items, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of family preference. Online condolences may be made at www.grisierfh.com.
