Donald Lee Frank 83 of Wauseon passed away unexpectedly at his winter home in Punta Gorda, Fla, on March 8, 2016. Donald was born on September 10, 1932 in Wauseon, Ohio, the son of the late William and Leah Strole Frank. He married Ila Mae Nofziger on November 26,1955 and she survives.
After high school, Donald served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955. Donald retired from Ohio Gas Company as Wauseon’s manager in 1994 after 38 years of service.
Donald was a member of the VFW 7424, American Legion of Punta Gorda, The MooseLodge of Punta Gorda, and The Elks of Punta Gorda. He attended Friendship Methodist Churchin Punta Gorda. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two children: Jeffery (Kimberly) Frank of Montpelier Ohio and Jody (Robert) Weber of Wauseon, Ohio; two grandchildren: Joshua (Lisa) Frank of Montpelier Ohioand Jordan (Jenalee) Frank of Stryker Ohio and four great grandchildren: Charlotte, Jameson, Solomon, and Eleanor. Donald also has three siblings: William Frank Jr, Linda Lammon andDenise Dunning; two brother-in-laws Larry (Shirley) Nofziger and Neil (Dee) Nofziger and numerous nieces and nephews
Visitation will be held April 9, 2016 from 10:00 – 11:30 with a memorial service to follow at the Crossroads Church with Pastor Kevin Clark officiating. Interment to follow at the WauseonUnion Cemetery in Wauseon.
