Doris A. Bible, 95, of Pioneer went to be with the Lord Thursday night at Fountain Park Inn and Villas in Bryan. She was born on April 23, 1920 in Bridgewater Township, Ohio to Emmett Scott and Ethel Blanche (Whaley) Waterston. Doris graduated from Montpelier High School in 1938. She married Paul E. Bible and he preceded her in death.

Doris was a member of Bridgewater Community Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Doris is survived by two sons, Roger L (Margaret Yarger) Bible of Montpelier and Darrell L. Bible of Bradenton, Florida; four daughters, Linda (Dick) Mick of Howard, Ohio, Sharon (Roger) Wilson of Glendale, Arizona, Brenda L. Clapp of Streetsboro, Ohio and Marcia J. Williams of Scottsdale, Arizona; three step sons, Marlowe (Sandy) Zigler of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, Robert (Marilyn) Zigler of Waterford, Michigan and Gerald (Kathy) Zigler of Edon, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Paul in 2001, second husband Leonard Zigler in 2007, one brother Gerald Waterston, two sisters Ruth Wisman and Phyllis Dye, one step son Wayne Zigler and one son-in-law David Jenkins.

Visitation hours for Doris will be on Sunday, October 25th from 12-3pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will be on Monday at 11am at the funeral home with Doris’s nephew, Reverend Ric Dye to officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.

Memorial contributions may be given to CHP Hospice. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com
