Doris E. Baldwin

Doris Edna BaldwinDoris Edna Baldwin, age 95, of Wauseon, passed away Tuesday morning, April 26, 2016 at Heartland of Wauseon. Prior to her retirement in 1992, she had worked as a bookkeeper for Kolb Feed Mill in Wauseon for many years.

Doris was born in Wauseon on March 6, 1921, the daughter of John “Jack” H. and Ruby L. (Guilford) Neuenschwander. On August 9, 1941 she married Earl C. Baldwin, and he preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, near Wauseon.

Surviving are two sons, Gerry Baldwin of Wauseon and Scott (Liana) Baldwin of Wauseon; grandchildren, Jodi (Jeff) Sager, Allen Baldwin, Sheri Kessler, Julie (Tim) Hogrefe, Brian (Adriane) Baldwin, Amy (Robert) Foster, Lisa (Jason) Bratton; 15 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; brother, Lowell (Velma) Neuenschwander of Delta; two sisters, Donna Mae Schaffner of Fayette and Shirley (Elroy) Arps of Wauseon; and former daughter-in-law, Dixie Baldwin of Wauseon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, granddaughter, Debra Baldwin, great-granddaughter, Jenna (Sager) McCance, and brother-in-law, Marvin Schaffner.

Visitation for Doris will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. Interment services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Wauseon Union Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M. at the Zion United Methodist Church, with Pastor Don Krieger, officiating.


The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Zion United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com
