PROJECTS ON THE HORIZON … Park board members excitedly discuss future projects for the village.

On Monday, August 18, 2025, the Edgerton Park Board convened at 4:02 p.m., Village Administrator Dawn Fitzcharles led the meeting. Mayor Day, Denise Knecht, and Park Board members Camie Hicks, Bill Swartz, and Chris Sanchez were present. Abby Witsman was absent.
Fitzcharles opened the meeting with updates on 2025 projects, including progress on trails, the disc golf course, trash receptacles, and dog waste stations at Miller Park.
She highlighted the new community building, with construction on track for completion by summer 2026. The board praised the summer interns for their artistic contributions, including painting fences and enhancing the village’s aesthetic.
The board discussed future initiatives, such as upgrading pavilions at Miller Park and downtown. Summer Tingle presented blueprint options for these designs.
Additional plans include repairing park sidewalks, modernizing basketball courts, and updating Gearhart Fields and bleachers.
Fitzcharles also shared proposals for the Edgerton Metals site, featuring potential pickleball and volleyball courts to enhance community recreation.
The meeting adjourned at 4:40 p.m., with the next meeting date to be determined.
