WEST UNITY – The Edon Bombers pulled into Hilltop Cadet country for a round of BBC baseball on the afternoon of May 10. What followed was a nightmare for the hometown faithful as the Boys in Bomber Blue hacked their way through four Hilltop hurlers to the tune of a five inning 20-3 trip to the BBC woodshed.[emember_protected custom_msg=”Full content protected for online subscribers. Jacob and Ben Brown combined to allow Hilltop 3 runs, 2 earned on 4 hits and 5 walks. The Edon offense combined to put on a display of public punishment.

Fifteen members of the Bombers picked up a bat during the game. Every one figured into the offense by either getting hits, scoring runs, driving in runs, or a combination of the aforementioned. Miklo Abner was the first Hilltop hurler to be chased off by the Bomber bats, with Jesse Westfall being the only pitcher that emerged unscathed of the four Cadets that saw mound duty on this long day.
