Edon Lady Bombers Fall On The Road To Pettisville; Lady Blackbirds Hold Tough

PETTISVILLE: April 11– The Edon Lady Bombers took their first BBC road trip of the season on April 11, traveling to Pettisville for a showdown with the Lady Blackbirds, dropping a back and forth game that saw Edon surrender a 9-3 lead in the 5th inning, allowing the Lady Blackbirds 9 runs and giving up the lead for good. The Lady Blackbirds held on to take the 12-9 victory and move to 1-1 in conference play. With the loss, Edon dropped to 1-1 in the BBC and 1-3 on the season.

For Pettisville, Audry Klopfenstein had the hot bat, going deep two times in the game and credited with 3 RBI’s. Teagan Kauffman recorded the victory from the mound, allowing 11 hits and 9 runs.

For the Lady Bombers, Kaitlin Chrisman recorded the loss, giving up 12 runs off of 17 hits. Chrisman also hit for 2 singles and a double in the game.
