Edon Nips Hilltop In Back And Forth Battle

WEST UNITY – The Edon Bomber Junior Varsity team traveled to Hilltop on Friday, January 17 for an in conference contest with the Hilltop Cadets. After a back and forth battle that saw the lead change hands throughout the game, the Bomber’s took control in the 4th and gained a hard fought victory 36-33.

For the Bombers, Braden Miller led the way with 17 on the game, while teammate Floyd Young dropped in 7 on the game. Miller’s free throws in the final moments of the game were the difference for the visiting Bomber’s, who held on for the victory.

For the Cadets, both Cole Haynes and Nic Schieber came up big on the defensive end with several key shot blocks, while Issac VanArsdalen knocked down a huge three pointer with 14 seconds remaining to bring the score to 33-32, trailing by one. But the visiting Bombers held on and gained the win.
