Edon Northwest Local Board Of Education Approves New Hires During Special Session

During a special session held Tuesday, August 18, Edon Northwest Local Board of Education approved one-year contracts with Amanda Pattyn (left) as fifth grade teacher and Taylor Scott (right) as second grade teacher for the 2015-2016 school year. Classes in the District resumed August 19.
During a special session held Tuesday, August 18, Edon Northwest Local Board of Education approved one-year contracts with Amanda Pattyn (left) as fifth grade teacher and Taylor Scott (right) as second grade teacher for the 2015-2016 school year. Classes in the District resumed August 19.

During a special meeting held Tuesday, August 18, Edon Northwest Local Board of Education approved new hires for the 2015-2016 school year.

Approved to fill two open elementary positions were Taylor Scott as second grade teacher and Amanda Pattyn as fifth grade teacher. Each was awarded a one-year contract with the District.

Additionally that evening, Superintendent John Granger presented current enrollment figures for discussion and review; 516 students, including eighteen Four County Career Center students, were slated to begin classes the following morning.

Edon Northwest Local Board of Education will next convene in regular session Tuesday, September 8, in the school’s Media Center beginning at 5:30 p.m.
